Peace and Comfort in Malta

Sliema is a town located on the northeast coast of Malta. It is a centre for shopping, restaurants and café life. Tas-Sliema is also a major commercial and residential area and houses several quality hotels. Tas-Sliema, which in Maltese means ‘peace, comfort’, was once a quiet fishing village on the peninsula across Marsamxett Harbour from Valletta.

Now Tas-Sliema and the coastline up to neighbouring St. Julian’s constitute Malta’s main coastal resort and as a result, Sliema has been developing at a very fast pace. Dr Mario Cacchia leading the hard work of his Alternative Technologies team commented “AHT is fast becoming the natural choice for the people of Malta because it offers the most ecological and economic heating in the world”!
